Marketing, Business Anthropology

New York and San Francisco-Oakland-Hayward, CA

I was born in the Philippines and immigrated to the United States in 2002. I've spent most of my time in California, but now am here in NYC studying at Fordham Lincoln Center.

I’ve worked in a variety of jobs starting at a movie theater near my high school. There I learned valuable customer relationship skills, along with developing my work ethic. Being part of the theater’s front line, I’ve deep understanding of what a business and its employees should provide to satisfy its customers.

I then moved to a more corporate setting working for Worldwide Facilities as a production assistant. My role there was to provide assistance to our brokers by communicating with their clients. This experience has helped me understand the expectations of a professional environment, as well as learning how to juggle multiple tasks at the same time.

Over time I've manage to also pick up some valuable skills. I've developed a knack for Photoshop and Sony Vegas. Of course, I'm quite adept with the Microsoft Office Suite, even with Microsoft Access.

I'm an avid photographer. While I only count it as a hobby, I spend a lot of time taking photos and love finding new spots and new ways to take photos. I'm also passionate about cycling, always trying to find time to ride my bike. I definitely am a very tech-savvy person, having surrounded myself with as many gadgets and technologies as my wallet allows. Keeping up with trends is also something I enjoy doing. It hurts to miss out, but it's always fun learning what new things people are into and all the amazing things out there.

People are extraordinary beings. I am fascinated with just why and how they do things, so I love studying and learning about all sorts of people. There's so many types out there, and all of them, in their own way, are just amazing. I want to try to understand all of them. Which is why I am looking for something in the field of Business Anthropology.
